Can I get my dyed RED hair to go BLONDE?

I dyed my hair a dark red a few months ago.

Now I want it any sort of blonde.

Most hairdressers I know (not very professional in my opinion) have simply said I can't do it and that it'll go ginger.

I totally disagree and just think they're lazy and won't even try.

Is it worth me spending a lot of money at a professional hairdressers for them to strip my hair and dye it a nice shade of blonde?

Any comments please heelp!

Yep, you can do it

I had BRIGHT red hair for the longest time, then I bleached it to cocaine white... which is basically white as paper.

It's easy. It may take a while (a couple hours), 'cause it'll need to be bleached. And then afterwards, you'll need to use a toner, though. To remove any red/yellow tones. But it can be done.

If you go to a GOOD professional salon, they'll know what they're doing. :] Try a Paul Mitchell salon.

Yes, you can. But, probably not at home - at least not without frying your hair.

Red is actually an easy color to remove. We all know how hard it is to keep red in!

Find a good professional colorist. Remember, you get what you pay for.

First of all, we are not lazy we are honest. Red is the hardest color to strip off. You always get some sort of brassiness left. When I have stripped off red in the past I start off with a professional stripper, then re-color the base, and then highlight it.
