I'm trying to color my hair blond and red. Could I do double process @ the same time.?

I dont want to burn my hair off. I just want to know If I so happen to color twice the same area can it damage imy hair. I would have to do red. Wash it. Dry it and do the blond Is that too much?

I'm trying to color my hair blond and red. Could I do double process @ the same time.?

you can dye both at the same time if your foiling but if you can't do that then get someone else to do, red and blonde make pink....

I'm trying to color my hair blond and red. Could I do double process @ the same time.?

Yea, that is too much. Try doing about 3 inches of your hair red and another 3 inches or so blonde and compare the two. Then, depending on which one you like, dye it that color right away. I do it all the time and that way your whole head isn't damaged.

I'm trying to color my hair blond and red. Could I do double process @ the same time.?

Why don't you go to a hairdresser and have your hair dyed red with blonde streaks or vice versa. You can have both colors at the same time that way...

I'm trying to color my hair blond and red. Could I do double process @ the same time.?

i would recommend doing them separately. the end results will look MUCH nicer. i know from experience. a double process is ok - ive done it at the salon. just make sure to keep your hair conditioned really well when you wash it, cuz dying can dry your hair out. good luck with the results!

Should i dye me hair blonde over red?

ok i have natuarl black hair then i dyed it red should i use some blonde dye and dye it over? will it turn blonde? does it damage my hair alot?

Should i dye me hair blonde over red?

I would go to a colorist because they can do it right. Turning black hair blond is tricky and you can fry your hair even if done right. You may want to consider wigs...some are quite good and you can change color (or test to see if a certain color/shade looks good on you) whenever you want.

Should i dye me hair blonde over red?

No dont do that - go back to your natural color. If you keep on dyeing different colors it will dry out your hair and it will start feeling and looking like straw.

Should i dye me hair blonde over red?

no because it will turn orange because my sisters did

Should i dye me hair blonde over red?

you should dye your hair blonde %26amp; red. but i think dying your hair damages it a little bit anyways.

Should i dye me hair blonde over red?

it will wreck yer hair, try brown first cuz if you put blonde over dyed red its guna go pink/orange

Should i dye me hair blonde over red?

Depending on how long the red has been on it some times especially if you do not use the same make of hair dye the colour can change to pink or slightly orange.

It is always better to get a dye remover, remove the dye then re dye two days to a week later. You do have to keep an eye on the dye removal products though because some times they will remove your natural colour %26amp; you will end up with blonde hair depending on how strong the product is.

And yes dying your hair a lot will damage it.

Should i dye me hair blonde over red?

sex

Should i dye me hair blonde over red?

u cant go from red to blonde..

it will go pink

u have to get colour stripper from a pharmacy

then peroxide

get lo'real xxl plantinum

Should i dye me hair blonde over red?

Child, you are lost, lost in the forest of how one treats her hair. No, blonde dye will not dye over red, you'll have disgusting not red but too red to be blonde hair. Any time you bleach your hair it damages it.

Please, please go to a salon, even the one in Wal-Mart. At least do a consultation even if you don't have them color your hair.

Should i dye me hair blonde over red?

Try using a Semi-Permanent color closest to your natural color.

This will help restore your shine and health of your hair.

Should i dye me hair blonde over red?

The first time you dyed your hair, you damaged it. So yes it is extremely damaging for your hair! No I don't believe it will instantly turn blonde. You need to strip out the color first.

dieing your hair is bad for it to beguin with. but i think you should just let it go back to it's natural color.

Itchy red scalp thinning hair without even scratching ?

hey guys my scalp has became a mess it is constantly greasy no matter how much i wash it and some places it is thinning.

at the places it is thinning there is sometimes an itch (which i never scratch no matter what) and if i look closely it red looking (not a bump or lump, just flat and red and no scaling) and the hairs all look thinner in that area

im currently using a tea trea shampoo and nizoral what can be causing it and will it eventually thicken as its been over a year in some of the patches

thansk for any help

Itchy red scalp thinning hair without even scratching ?

It sounds like eczema but without actually seeing it I can only guess. It's most likely that the oiliness is more responsible for the thinning that the red patches, although, eczema, psoriasis, dandruff, etc., will cause a bit of hair loss even if you don't scratch. It wouldn't be a bad idea for you to see a dermatologist. It's not the kind of thing that's going to go away on its own. Use a shampoo and conditioner for oily hair and don't wash your hair in hot water. The cooler the better for oily scalp.

Why doe's my hair have a red tint to it?

My skin color is a natural tan and my natural hair color was a really dark brown. I decided to go black on the hair (not emo/goth black) and I dyed it yesterday. I noticed in the sunlight it has a strong tint of red to it. It is actually really pretty, but my question is, is that normal? I really don't mind it at all.

Why doe's my hair have a red tint to it?

probably your hair color you dyed didnt fade inrigh.. but its okay... next time leave it in longer...

Why doe's my hair have a red tint to it?

It was a blessing.

Why doe's my hair have a red tint to it?

it could be your natural colour shining through

Why doe's my hair have a red tint to it?

Why would it matter.. as long as it looks good i would care less

Why doe's my hair have a red tint to it?

Maybe the hairstylist who did your hair added a little red to the black?

Why doe's my hair have a red tint to it?

That's perfectly normal. Just how skin can have a golden, pink, or yellow undertone. Hair also has brown, red, or golden undertones. My hair is dark black, but in the sun it's usually a darker shade of brown.

Why doe's my hair have a red tint to it?

Yeah, it's normal. It means that you just have a lot of red pigment in your hair. You have reddish tones rather than violet or blue tones.

Why doe's my hair have a red tint to it?

Depending on the color you used, and the natural pigments in your hair you'll get different results with each color.

It sounds to me like you already had some sort red in your hair, and the dye only darkened it. since red and brown are so much the same color, it makes sense.

Why doe's my hair have a red tint to it?

probably what he said ^...

its hard for black to be real noticable in brown...

Why doe's my hair have a red tint to it?

If you have well water that could be it.

Why doe's my hair have a red tint to it?

UMM.. YEAH.. IF YOU MESSED IT UP ALOT!! LIKE ONE DAY MY MOM DYED HER HAIR BLONDE AND IT WAS TURNING RED AND GREEN!!

Why doe's my hair have a red tint to it?

ok..most hair dyes have a base color to it. the one you used probably had either a red base or a violet base which looks red in the sun.

Why doe's my hair have a red tint to it?

If you have any irish in your bloodlines, the red tint was there before, but just not visible because of the color or mix of colors in brown. If not, the red will fade out of in in two or three days.

Why doe's my hair have a red tint to it?

absolutly normal. i was born a red head, the of corse over time my hair changed to blonde then brunett. and i also have a red tint to my hair. i also dyed my hair black. of corse not emo or goth either. and i have a red tint still. what ever color you dye your hair its always going to be there. i just suggest dont bleach your hair.1st it takes longer for it to actually go blonde 2nd it may end up being kinda orange .. its happend to me..

Why doe's my hair have a red tint to it?

The dye must have a red base.

All colors (even black) have to come from a mix of other colors, starting with the primary colors (red, blue, yellow)

and it seems they opted for a red base on this one.

It's normal, especially in do-it-yourself kits.

%26lt;3

Why doe's my hair have a red tint to it?

You hair color is the result of fairly complex molecules generated from transcription from you genome. Every one is slightly different and each interacts differently with hair dyes. Hair care companies go to great trouble to make their products as consistent as possible but certain individuals will never get the color on the box. If you are one of these you will find most hair dyes look different on you.

You can try a little of some recently cut har to make certain you like it first. You lucked out this time but in the future a little test might be good. Save you hair at haircut time.

Why doe's my hair have a red tint to it?

this is normal usaully black dye depending on the color # will have a red or violet tent to it also it ur brown hair shining throw the dye

Why doe's my hair have a red tint to it?

It's the sun it happens to my sister all the time perfectly normal!

Should i die my hair this color red?

I have very pale, fair skin and light brown hair. But i really want to die it a different color, like red? Would this color look good, i know its a picture of a guy but just the color of his hair. Oh, and i have dark blue eyes :)

http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb198...

Thanks for any advice!

Should i die my hair this color red?

yes. it should look good on you.

btw that guy is hot.

Should i die my hair this color red?

go for it!

Should i die my hair this color red?

Yes i think that would be really pretty! but i dont know what you look like, so I suppose you would be the only one to tell what it would look like. I really like the color though, its a really pretty shade of red.

Should i die my hair this color red?

yeah i think it would look really good on u

Should i die my hair this color red?

no

Should i die my hair this color red?

i think it sounds good but you should wait til the end of the summer cause the color get bad fast in summer .... but like for fall i think you should do it !

Should i die my hair this color red?

i think u shuld gofor a medium/dark brown w/ auburn undertones cuz it will bring out ur eyes

Should i die my hair this color red?

That looks like a burgundy red, or auburn. Yes it should look good. If it's at home color then buy a brighter shade. I have used the new herbal essences burgundy and it lasted forever. I think it was called plush plum. Looks purple on the box, but it isn't. That or radiant ruby. That red is gorgeous!Use the conditioner that comes with it at least once a week and it helps with holding the color in your hair.

Should i die my hair this color red?

Yeah, I think you should go for it! I bet it'll look pretty good, and I know it will be striking against your pale skin. And the fact that you have blue eyes will mean that they'll be more noticeable.

Should i die my hair this color red?

no....I have naturally dark blond hair and did almost the exact same color for Christmas of 06. It looked awesome, but it faded fast. It requires a lot of touch ups. And later I tried to get my hair back to it's natural color no salon would touch it. They told me it would turn kind of orange. I ended up having to color my hair dark brown to cover it up.

Should i die my hair this color red?

maybe...you should dye your hair a auburn color or maybe an auburn brown...well a reddish-brownish...you should see for yourself...

hope this helps

alana:)

Should i die my hair this color red?

darkred looks good on any color it would be different try it if you don't like it color it back to natural

Why do "golden" hair colors look red instead?

I would really like my hair to be a golden brown. But it seems that people who use "gold" shades end up with red tones instead of gold? Why is this, and can it be avoided/corrected? How do you achieve a true gold haircolor - blonde or brown?

Why do "golden" hair colors look red instead?

All i know is that the red pigment in hair dyes or your natural hair will show through and react. It's best to go dark first. Sorry not much help

Why do "golden" hair colors look red instead?

... i have that naturally

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

... at least what i think your talking about ... a whole bunch of pple on this question said my hair was red and some said golden ... i got brunette and blonde too :S so confused

Why do "golden" hair colors look red instead?

HAPPEND TO ME! HAHA

well it is because the person that did this has alot of red pigment color in there hair. it is usually someone that has brown hair. i have no idea how to achieve a gold look

Why do "golden" hair colors look red instead?

well do what ever you were going to do, then buy a spray bottle and lemon juice and it will give you a gold-sunkissed tone.

Why do "golden" hair colors look red instead?

If you go to the proffesionals, it is expensive, but SO WORTH IT! They know what you're hair will look like with a certain color in it- Hair dyes are not "One color fits all".

Here's what you need to do:

Go to a professional and when they are done and you are happy with your color, ask them what brand and exact color they used- then buy it yourelf to keep it up.

Best wishes!

I have just dye my hair red with kool aid and it is burning! whats wrong?

I used about 4 packets to get the color I wanted, mixing it with conditioner and a little water. It is in my hair now and my scalp is burning and itching. The instructions I read said to leave it in for 6+ hours, but it burns too much.

What should I do?

I have just dye my hair red with kool aid and it is burning! whats wrong?

your scalp could be dry, cracked, or you could be allergic to it

but i have never heard of leaving it in for 6+ hours. i dont know about that. research all the kool aid dying articles online you can and find a better time to take it out

sorryyy!

I have just dye my hair red with kool aid and it is burning! whats wrong?

KOOL AIDE!!??!!??!!

R U CRAZY...

I have just dye my hair red with kool aid and it is burning! whats wrong?

rinse it out

I have just dye my hair red with kool aid and it is burning! whats wrong?

rinse it immeadiately - you can get hair color in the beauty supplies in ALL kinds of funky colors - why would you do this ????????????????

I have just dye my hair red with kool aid and it is burning! whats wrong?

You must've used unsweetened and you have a sour head. Be careful or you'll be Kool-Aid man bald with a tinted head.

I have just dye my hair red with kool aid and it is burning! whats wrong?

wash all of it out! it will make your scalp unhealthy!

I have just dye my hair red with kool aid and it is burning! whats wrong?

wash it out, I cannot understand why it would burn, but if it is, wash it out. Because it can burn the scalp and leave blisters and scabs.

I have just dye my hair red with kool aid and it is burning! whats wrong?

Rinse your hair out immediately with cool water. Put pure aloe on your scalp. And next time, apply a little oil on your scalp before ANY dye application whatsoever for protection. Use crushed, dried roses or a rinse out to dye your hair from now on. It's much safer. Never put kool aid in your hair for more than 30 minutes and keep it away from the scalp if you ever dare to apply it again. Next time, use cranberry juice as a hair color rinse.

I have just dye my hair red with kool aid and it is burning! whats wrong?

You tried to dye your hair with Kool-Aid? Jesus Christ, what an imbecile.

Have your hair colored properly, by a qualified stylist, instead of putting **** like Kool-Aid in your hair.

Idiot.

How can you lift a red colour from your hair?

Heres the thing, i have (had) black hair, and i decided to put a red dye through it, thinking it would work, however, it just turned my roots red. so tonight i put a bleach shampoo through my hair to try and get the red out, but it never worked, so i put a brown dye to try and hide it and it just wont lift! I want to go blonde so i was thinking of going from brown-lightbrown-dark blonde- blonde! but any suggestions for getting the red out without having to pay lots of money at the hairdressers? thanks.

How can you lift a red colour from your hair?

You have to purchase a high lift kit if you are attempting to do this yourself. They are available at any drug store. And while you are waiting for your color to lift, do not be afraid of the bright orange color that your hair will go through if it is dark. Allow the product to be used for the recommended length of time. If you decide to take the lift out early, it will seriously make your hair look like brass. So after you lift all of the color out of your hair, you now need to deposit color back in. Choose your color, and have fun as a blonde! Good luck!!

How can you lift a red colour from your hair?

Stop frying your poor hair! Red colors naturally fade quite quickly (especially when you are outdoors/in the sun), so just give it some time if you want to get rid of it damage-free.

After this has happened at least to some point, then go blonde or whatever you wish, but make sure to give your hair recovery time.

How can you lift a red colour from your hair?

bleach your hair with blonde color. then you can die it anything you want. with black hair, it won't allow you to color it because the black pigments in the air are dominent.

How can you lift a red colour from your hair?

DO NOT do it yourself please. I dyed my hair a lovely dark brown but wanted to go blonde again and lightened it and i went proper orange and still to this day i cant get iot out of my hair,it could be much worse but you could just get the roots done at the hairdressers .the colour will eventually fade.good luck!

Fiery red highlights?? cut my hair?

i have an oval face, wear glasses, have light brown skin, and have flat deep brown hair which looks almost black. i want to get my cut like how anne hathaway has it in the movie the devil wears prada but i am not sure if it would suit me and i also want fiery red higlights. should i get my hair done like this??

Fiery red highlights?? cut my hair?

That cut is very cute and a few fiery red highlights would do just fine.

How Do i get this red out of my hair? =S?

i had my hair dyed a purpley color, so i dyed over it myself brown to get rid of it, but it just turned out red. When it went red, i dyed it medium brown, which turned out black!

So the hairdresser bleach bathed my hair which took the black away, and dyed it brown. After a few washes the brown turned red again, so the hairdressers dyed over it the same brown. The more i wash it the more the red shows up!

Yeah very confusing haha

How do i get rid of it permanently?

Thanks! xox

How Do i get this red out of my hair? =S?

unfornately this needs colour correction - this means the hair being bleached several times to strip the red and then ash toner being put on to neutrilise the orangess and then @ a later stage more blonde put thro.

this cant b done @ home as home kits dont contain a high enough level of peroxide to bleach the colour out.

How Do i get this red out of my hair? =S?

try a high lifting bleach jerome russell is awesome iv used it when my hair was a redish brown!

good luck!

My dog is loosing hair and has red patches.?

I have a two year old lab boxer shepard mix. and we just got her recently she had a rash on her tummy and the Vet seemed to think it was allergies. So we tried a new food they recommended. and she was put on steriods, the rash went away and she was fine for a few weeks now she seems to be loosing hair in patches all over her underbelly. up by her chest and a little on her legs. Also her ear is in alot of pain there very red and theres sores in them. and its not mites or fleas as we have had her checked and given stuff to prevent it. shes now in alot of pain when her ear is touched she wimpers. i have an appointment comming up on monday but i would just like to know what you think it is i have a few pics. any answers are appriciated. please no rude comments shes a well taken care of dog.

My dog is loosing hair and has red patches.?

Two conditions come to mind here. First of all allergies and secondly hypothyroidism. Take her to the vet and have a thyroid panel run. Typically loss of fur patches is due to hypothyroidism. Do you notice a strong odor and oily skin? Sometimes this happens too.

For allergies, I also recommend the IGE based blood test which will detect what allergies she may have as well as giving you a level as to how allergic she is. By changing dog food, you may be only tackling part of the problem. Usually there are environmental and inhalent allergies as well as food allergies.

I have a bullmastiff who had the same problem, He had continuous skin and ear infections. I had him allergy tested and we found he was allergic to many foods (chicken, hen, soy, wheat, etc. He was also allergic to grass, ragweed, various trees etc...........So he is now on a prescription diet of Vennison and Potato dog food, and I give him a benedryl in the morning and evening in his food. That solved the allergy problem. He started losing fur patches next and being in the lab industry I had his thyroid checked. It turned out he has hypothyroidism and is now on synthroid. He now has perfect skin, and looks great.

My dog is loosing hair and has red patches.?

It's likely the food.. Doesn't matter if the vet recommended it or not.. They have a line of foods that they like to recommend with bad ingredients to create chronic ear and coat problems so that people have to keep coming back again and again.. If you feed a good quality dog food, nothing from the grocery store, nothing from the vet office.. You will likely find that you chronic problems clear up.

My dog is loosing hair and has red patches.?

Looks like a bad case of allergies. by any chance does the food, the old or new have corn in it? Labs are known to an allergy to corn.

you can have the vet do an allergy test but I would first rule out the corn in the foods. A good food to go to is natural balance and will help with the allergy

My dog is loosing hair and has red patches.?

this sounds like you dog has "hot Spots" which are generally an allergy. The spots will get bigger because the animal will scratch at it and more hair can fall out. My advice is to take the dog to the Vet nd get a steroid shot to stop the itch which will promote hair regrowth and also start bathing with an Oatmeal Shampoo and Conditioner for dry or damaged skin. Good luck this is a very irritating thing for an animal and it can get very painful.

My dog is loosing hair and has red patches.?

Hello Reese. You take great photos.I would say it is Dermatitis. My two dogs suffer from this.We buy a dog shampoo and bathe them.It is a very common problem with many dogs.It gets very itchy especially in the ears. What your dog most likely needs is an Anti-biotic.I wish you well.Forgot to mention the shampoo is one made for the dermatitis .. It gives my dog great relief, and a time free of the problem.

My dog is loosing hair and has red patches.?

Poor baby!

Looks like an allergic reaction with secondary infection.

Has she had any skin scrapings on the bald patches to rule out parasites?

My dog is loosing hair and has red patches.?

My dog had the same type of issues. I took her to a dermatologist. She had some tests and they have given her serum for allergy shots. It really seems to be helping. I give her the shots myself. I would say that she has improved at least 75%. There also is a new medication that is out that costs around 150.00 for a 30 day supply. I cannot remember the name of the medication. You give this to your dog for one month and then hopefully can ween it off to every 3 days. Either way does cost some money.

How Can I Make My Hair Turn Red(der) Naturally?

I Have Brunette Hair ( like almost the exact same as the brunette girls in the pantene comercials) And I'm Looking For Ways To Make It Look Redder Than It Is Right Now... I Don't Wanna Be A FULL Redhead ... But I'm Just Looking For Natural Ways To Make It Lighter (redder)

Thanx

Carrie

How Can I Make My Hair Turn Red(der) Naturally?

To give your brunette hair a reddish tint you can try one of two methods. You can use henna which is a plant paste that has been used to dye hair for centuries. Check the web for henna hair dye sources. You can also try making a solution of tea, crushed rose petals, and or cranberries. Apply the solution while still warm and let it sit for an hour. The key is reapplying this to your hair often. The results will be gradual over time.

Before trying any new process on your hair, take into concideration any chemicals currently in your hair (perms, relaxers, permanent color) be sure that it is in healthy condition. Do your research first to be sure you know what you are doing and what kind of results to expect.

I hope that helps! Good luck!

How Can I Make My Hair Turn Red(der) Naturally?

I don't think there is a natural way to go redder. Maybe a little bit of sunlight can help but other than that there is nothing that I'm aware of that does that.

How Can I Make My Hair Turn Red(der) Naturally?

brunettes are da bomb, leave it like it is !

How Can I Make My Hair Turn Red(der) Naturally?

i dont think there is a way to make it redder...but if you dont want to be a full red head then you can throw some red highlights in there...not the thick highlights just some thin ones around so when you move around you will be able to see the red in there it will give your hair more of a reddish look but not completely red

How Can I Make My Hair Turn Red(der) Naturally?

you cn't do it naturally, but if you go to a salon and ask for a tinted red color, you'll have some red streaks you can see in the light really well!!

Is it true that red and puple hair dye shows up well on darker hair?

I have dirty blonde/light brown hair and I have been thinking about dying it. I know it shows up really well if you bleach it, but how well would it show up if I didnt bleach imy hair? I've heard that purples and reds show up better than other colors, but how much better?

Is it true that red and puple hair dye shows up well on darker hair?

it depends on how vibrant you want the color to be, if you want your hair to be pillar box/fire engine red, pre-lightening is ideal, but if you're going more subtle/natural red, dirty bonde is fine, even if you want it brighter but are ok with it not being a "true" color. just be sure it's what you want to do, because if you dye it either purple or red, and get sick of it next month, it takes a lot of time, money, damage and sometimes pain to get it back to blonde. if you're going to go for a more wild color i'd suggest either rusk or manic panic colors, if you're going for more subtle try getting your color at a beauty supply store instead of a grocery store, only because the red/purple will last longer and it won't damage the hair as much if it's creme based instead of liquid.

Is it true that red and puple hair dye shows up well on darker hair?

It should work fine. My hair is almost black, a really dark brown, and I dyed it bright red once and it was bright! I didn't bleach or lighten it or anything ahead of time. However, I strongly suggest reading the chart on the side of the box of dye. They tend to be pretty accurate. Since your hair isn't too dark, it probably won't be an issue.

Ugh!! Super hair disaster! I tried to go Ash Blonde, but instead my hair is orange/red.?

Ok, so i attempted to go lighter and bought L'OREAL preference in ash blonde. My hair is medium/light brown with some faded highlights it in from last year. I really want to go blonde, but money is tight so i took things into my own hands. Now im stuck with nasty orange looking hair...is it possible to buy another blonde dye and redye my hair now that its lighter? Will my hair get redder? or actually turn blonde? Pleasee any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Ugh!! Super hair disaster! I tried to go Ash Blonde, but instead my hair is orange/red.?

I'm a hairdresser and you did right by buying an ash product if your hair is brown because brown will pull orange and red and ash cuts that but home product doesn't tell you how much or how little ash is in the product. If you find it light enough you probably would be OK to use another ash over it to cut the orange but if it is still to dark you will have to go darker or go to the salon and have it lightened, because in the drug stores they can only sell product with what they consider a safe amount of peroxide in for anyone to use and at a salon we can use double the strength. The reason I said if it is light enough is because color over color will only go darker not lighter in order to go lighter after you have colored your hair you must bleach it, now that my have been your problem in the first place if you has a previous color all over your hair.

Oh yeah ash is green and it cuts red/orange/yellow

Ugh!! Super hair disaster! I tried to go Ash Blonde, but instead my hair is orange/red.?

My advise is to never buy anything that says "Ash"

I have been in this situation way too many times.

Best thing to do is get a bleach rinse.

Ugh!! Super hair disaster! I tried to go Ash Blonde, but instead my hair is orange/red.?

Go to a beauty supply store like Sally's and ask the girls in there...they should be able to help you. You should look for a level 7 blonde with 40 volume developer....maybe even throw in a little packet of bleach for a kicker...Good Luck!

Ugh!! Super hair disaster! I tried to go Ash Blonde, but instead my hair is orange/red.?

Yeah for future reference never buy ASH. It turns my hair green.....

Ugh!! Super hair disaster! I tried to go Ash Blonde, but instead my hair is orange/red.?

My guess is that that your hair was too dark for the product you used, it just wasn't powerful enough to lift enough colour off your hair. You would've needed a bleach/pre-lightener to properly remove your natural colour. (Because colour doesn't lift colour, you need bleach/peroxide for it). Most you can expect from a colour is an end result that is a tone, perhaps two tones lighter than your own.

First colour to lift are the cool tones, to red/orange, yellow and finally blond.. provided you use a product that is strong enough. And this colour wasn't strong enough... since your hair is orange now.

If you think your hair isn't too damaged from this attempt, you can try a pre-lightener/colour remover to go properly blond. If there is a salon supplier near you, speak to a professional and they'll help you to choose the right product(s). You may need to remove all or most of your own colour and then dye your hair to the desired blond tone.

The fact that you chose an ash blond colour didn't cause the redness of your hair just now. In fact, the ash in the product is something that is used to offset redness. Had you used a golden blond colour, you would've ended up with an even stronger orange hair.

If your natural brown is a warm brown, chances are that even when your hair has been lightened, the end result may well have warm golden or red tone to it. A professional would use an ash blond tint after lightening to balance out the warm tones in the hair.

If you do choose to use a lightener, your hair may be too damaged to be dyed again with a permanent colour. Get a good reconstructor/conditioner, hot oil/hair mask treatment and give your hair a rest. Meanwhile use a non-permanent (8-10 washes) colour of your desired tone. It doesn't harm your hair anywhere as much as a permanent one.

Good luck.. Going blond is always much more difficult than brown/red.

How can i dye my dark (asian) hair red at home?

I've tried a couple products; generally, only my highlights change color and my regular hair remains stubbornly black.

How can i dye my dark (asian) hair red at home?

Few tips:

1)leave it in your hair for a longer time than prescribed

2)When washing ur hair, dont wash it all out until the water runs clear, do 3/4 of it, stop, blowdry some hair, and dry the rest with dark towel that u dont need anymore (could be a little messy)

3) Takes a few minutes to show, go outside more often when the sun is out. The sun helps the color

4) use the conditioners and shampoos that say for colored/treated hair

How would i dye my bright hair red and black, right down the middle, half and half....?

I am not sure what you mean. Like one side red and the other side black? Part your hair and seperate it. I helped my friend dye her hair black and blonde. I did it in sections.

How would i dye my bright hair red and black, right down the middle, half and half....?

Dude...that's a great idea!... Go to a really good hair place, and if they screw up, have them take it out for a full refund.

How would i dye my bright hair red and black, right down the middle, half and half....?

I think it looks better wen you get the kit were u have a mask to put on your head LOL then u pull ur hair thro it and past it on so u get streks!!!

Or get alfoil and grav hair from the side u wanna di and past on the di and afoil it chunks of hair at a time so u dont make a mistake.

Or about $50-$80 at the hair dresses

I think it would be KOOL

How would i dye my bright hair red and black, right down the middle, half and half....?

I Wouldent reccomend it because Dye is a STRONG chemicle, therefore if you dye it red, then have it dry, wash it out and then dye parts of it black, thats bad for the hair, and it may cause it to fall out.

How would i dye my bright hair red and black, right down the middle, half and half....?

Part your hair right down the middle. Apply black to one side and red to the other. Take care not to get the black onto the red. I would do both at the same time. Rinse the black out first, then the red. Rinse very well and then use the conditioner that comes with the dye.

This will really give you the WOW factor.

Dunno dude, but couldnt you just do your hair like everyone else?

Just trying to be helpful.

that sounds complicated. go to a stylist.

How would i dye my bright hair red and black, right down the middle, half and half....?

thats gonna take some skill its beta 2 get it done professionally

How would i dye my bright hair red and black, right down the middle, half and half....?

Personally I would just do this sort of thing myself, you really don't need to go to a stylist. It's not very complicated. Just part down the middle and put the red dye all over one side then clip it or put it in a bun while you put the black dye on the other side, then clip that side up too. If you have short hair just make a definate part and try to stay along the line. It would be easier with a friend to help you do the back so you don't mix the colors. You need to keep your hair seperated while it is processing. Then you can wash it out all together.

I wana dye my hair a bright red color...?

I have blonde n brown hair, I wanna dye it bright red. Know any products that will work n are perment, yea i can spell.

I wana dye my hair a bright red color...?

To get it an really really bright red, you'll have to bleach your hair first to get the red to show. If you just dye your hair red now, it'll be brighter in some parts than others. You can get fairly bright red without bleaching, but not like shockingly bright red. I'd go to a salon though just to be sure.

Just one tip, though... red fades really fast, so to keep it bright you'll have to keep re-dying it (it's damaging to do that), and if you don't like it red is actually the hardest color to get out of your hair, even hairdressers have problems. You hair will have a reddish/rusty/ginger tint for a looong time if you decide to go red.

I wana dye my hair a bright red color...?

Herbal Essence works really good

I wana dye my hair a bright red color...?

don't do it...it will look hideous.....no offense

I wana dye my hair a bright red color...?

Red dye always fades quickly, especially out of blonde hair. I would definitely use a red filler if you are going to do it yourself. You can find fillers at Sally Beauty Supply. Use this first, then use a permanent dye. It would hurt to add a little bit of the filler to the dye also. It helps the color be brighter, and stay a little bit longer. Also, be careful what red you go with. If you have blonde hair, the red might turn out lighter then it is on the box. You run the risk of getting pink hair. If that happens, and you still want it red, try dying it again.

The iron in our well water is turning my hair red/orange?

i have been told a solution of white vinegar and lemon juice will rinse it away. how long should i leave it in?.....i was curious and tried soaking a pair of white shorts that were discolored by the well water in this overnight and this morning they were white again! i was totally amazed!! im now trying my hubbys socks in the washer with a cup each of lemon juice and vinegar and water to cover the load of sox......hope it works!

anyways....my question is......

how long should i leave this in my hair? i talked to a hairdresser this morning and she said it wont hurt my hair, but i forgot to ask how long to leave it in........thx ya'll!!

The iron in our well water is turning my hair red/orange?

I would think that maybe about 15 to 30 minutes. That is about how long you leave in for a perm, or to frost your hair. I lived in a house with well water like that. I got Culligan water softening tank installed and it helped. It takes a couple of washings to get everything looking the way it should be. It cost me $25.00 amonth. They come every month to change the tanks.

The iron in our well water is turning my hair red/orange?

i dont now what your talking about

The iron in our well water is turning my hair red/orange?

I know exactly what you are talking about, I had iron water at one time and it ruined my natural blond hair. I tried everything under the sun to get it out, nothing worked. It ruined my clothes, hair, nails and tubs(had to clean tub with Lysol toilet bowl cleaner). I believe it's the worse water on earth. I suggest getting a water softener.

BTW...I lived in W.V at the time. Theres a lot of iron water in that country. Good Luck!

I don't think vinegar and lemon would have much affect.

The iron in our well water is turning my hair red/orange?

I never heard of this, thanks for the info.

I use baking soda in my shampoo, it softens the 'hard' in my water. I use it in my wash, my bathtub, my dish water, my toothpaste, to wash my face.

I LOVE BAKING SODA!!!

How often can you dye your hair? I just dyed my hair red about a month ago and I hate it?

How soon would it be safe for me to dye my hair again? I don't want to loose my hair or dry it out.

How often can you dye your hair? I just dyed my hair red about a month ago and I hate it?

Normally every month you would add a touch up color to the roots for 15 minutes and the last five minutes mix it with alittle water and run it throughout the rest of your hair to even it out.Because you are going to apply chemical again to allready processed hair I would suggest a 20 minute deep heat conditioner.(preferably at salon) under a dryer. One month is the recommended waiting time between proceedures. Don't be surprised if it takes a couple of applications to lose the red ecspecially if going lighter.

How often can you dye your hair? I just dyed my hair red about a month ago and I hate it?

if color has not been used and if the hair is still healthey have the colorist bleach it to a level 8 and use a nice violet based toner or whatever your desired look is. weave in some highlights and color in betweena nice light brown with a violet base or blue base. Report It

How often can you dye your hair? I just dyed my hair red about a month ago and I hate it?

Every month is healthy. If it dries out, get an intense conditioner.

How often can you dye your hair? I just dyed my hair red about a month ago and I hate it?

Every 2-3 Months.

How often can you dye your hair? I just dyed my hair red about a month ago and I hate it?

You will be fine if you fix it now. As long as you dont make a habit out of dying it every month you r good to go.

How often can you dye your hair? I just dyed my hair red about a month ago and I hate it?

you can dye it in about 6 months

How often can you dye your hair? I just dyed my hair red about a month ago and I hate it?

You should be fine to dye your hair again. I THINK its like 72 hours before you should dye your hair again.

How often can you dye your hair? I just dyed my hair red about a month ago and I hate it?

well dyes are never really safe but its just like a relaxer you would have to wait 4-6 weeks to do it again.i would advise you to really moisturize you hair so it would not became damage or dry. If you want to you can rinse your hair a color that you want a rinse is not as bad as a dye the best rinse to use is adore

How often can you dye your hair? I just dyed my hair red about a month ago and I hate it?

you need to go to a good salon and have them do corrected color on you hair, because if you do it yourself and dont fill the hair you could come out with Grey, green or maybe a blue color that you would not want. So please go to a good salon and they could let you know if they could do it or not.

How often can you dye your hair? I just dyed my hair red about a month ago and I hate it?

If you don't dye frequently now should be fine, if you dye it regularly I'd wait another week or two. Deep condition it a few times in the next week or so before recoloring and maybe get the ends trimmed to eliminate the already damaged part. You should be fine.

How often can you dye your hair? I just dyed my hair red about a month ago and I hate it?

I'm pretty sure they can wash of the red from your hair and dye any-other colour you wanted.

How often can you dye your hair? I just dyed my hair red about a month ago and I hate it?

they say six weeks, but if you haven't dyed it much, you can do five

How often can you dye your hair? I just dyed my hair red about a month ago and I hate it?

dye my hair approximately every 8 weeks

How often can you dye your hair? I just dyed my hair red about a month ago and I hate it?

Be very careful.I have dirty blond hair.i died mine red and didnt like it .i then tried to change it back and it turned purple.

How often can you dye your hair? I just dyed my hair red about a month ago and I hate it?

im sorry you dont like it.

i think it's fine if you fix it now.

but what color red is it??

if it is a bright red and you want to dye it back to like a brown then try an auburn and then the next time go back to brown.

it will be a wholeeeee lot easier trust me!!

cuz if you just dye it straight back to brown it will take several treatments.

If i dye my hair light burgundy red blonde?

and i do blonde highlights afterwards will the highlighted part come out pink? right now my hair is dark red brown but its kind of faded into a brown cuz red washes off easily

If i dye my hair light burgundy red blonde?

yes you could end up with pink streaks

to boost the red up in your hair

color glaze it once every 2 weeks or more often as needed/desired

If i dye my hair light burgundy red blonde?

i wouldn't put streaks it would end up pink. to boost the color use a color boosting conditioner or shampoo

I have red hair and a fair complexion, and green eyes whats the right prom dress for me?

Prom is Apr. 21...please and thanks for the help!

I have red hair and a fair complexion, and green eyes whats the right prom dress for me?

How gorgeous is your colouring!?

Ok, try an emerald green dress to bring out your green eyes, or a teal, aqua blue, sapphire blue, or even white (although that might wash you out). You could also try other jewel tones like amethyst.

Check out anything Nicole Kidman pictures for what she wears, she has your same colouring, although her hair is blonde now.

I'd try a strapless gown, or a one-shoulder gown to set off your fair beautiful skin (if you want to show it off), and something to really set off your hair colour.

Or a chocolate brown if you want to go darker, or an Ivory colour to set off your skin tone (ivory has more yellow in it than white).

Don't wear black, it will be too harsh I think, especially if you want to stand out in a sea of black...

I have red hair and a fair complexion, and green eyes whats the right prom dress for me?

Cream colored.

I have red hair and a fair complexion, and green eyes whats the right prom dress for me?

bright green, bright red, bright blue. anything bright because it'll look good on your fair skin.

I have red hair and a fair complexion, and green eyes whats the right prom dress for me?

get a dress with earthy tones like green, or brown. dont get red because it willl clash with your hair. Gold would be nice, but its hard to pull gold off unless you have darker skin.

I think you should go with something green. Green looks so nice with red hair.

I have red hair and a fair complexion, and green eyes whats the right prom dress for me?

a pale peach and make sure you make your eyes pop with some eyeliner or something and put your hair up to show off your shoulders and neck.. the the peach will look divine....

I also have red hair, a fair complexion, and green eyes.

Green would look really good. Not a bright green, but maybe a darker green like emerald. Darker shades would look good. I wore a black dress and it worked for me.

just try on dresses of different colors and pick a color that you feel looks best on you. Go to some place where the employees can reccommend colors that would look good and then try dresses on in those colors. And its not like you have to buy the dress from that place, but it will give you ideas for good colors.

I have red hair and a fair complexion, and green eyes whats the right prom dress for me?

maybe a light color dress like light pink,or light green or something light.Hope that helped.

How can i dye my hair a burgandy red when it is black, on my own. What product is best.?

I dyed me hair black about 6 months ago, and now want to dye it a burgandy red, in hopes that the black will somewhat still come through. Is it possioble to do this without having to bleach my hair or having to go to a salon? Is there any products out there that will take over the black?

How can i dye my hair a burgandy red when it is black, on my own. What product is best.?

no, you're going to have to lighten it at least a little

How can i dye my hair a burgandy red when it is black, on my own. What product is best.?

It's been a LONG time since you've dyed it last, so I'm sure that it will turn out perfectly dying it in one go..

I suggest using this hair color.. It is a gorgeous burgandy shade, and is still dark!!

like this:

loreal paris ultra violet brown

black/violet column, 2nd row, 1st one!! :)

I love it, and used it on my naturally black hair, and it turned out fab!! :)

How can i dye my hair a burgandy red when it is black, on my own. What product is best.?

who would want to ,it is so GROSS looking I can't stand it when I see a pretty young girl that does that, it looks so cheap and childish .it looks terrible.

How can i dye my hair a burgandy red when it is black, on my own. What product is best.?

the only solution here is to bleach your hair or to wait till the hair you dyed black is gone. Otherrwise you have to go to a salon and have it done there. or you can do it yourself and bleach your hair and you really like to lighten your hair. there are products you can use to lighten a dyed hair but distributors only sells the salon.

I have red hair....what color dress?

ok, i have light red hair....its not like super red...but like a redish auburn color....which dress color would be better: hot pink, light blue, or white? the hot pink one has no straps, the light blue one is a halter top and the white one has thin straps...just so u know

I have red hair....what color dress?

I think pink kind of clashes with red hair. The white seems like it would stand out more.

I have red hair....what color dress?

maybe if I had a octure of the dresses it could help me

but i wouldn't go with the hot pink maybe the white one would look good and i dunno on the baby blue

but whatever you choose make sure that you feel good in it

I have red hair....what color dress?

Green.

I have red hair....what color dress?

Definitely not the hot pink one, light blue sounds great.

Like the other person said, green would look much more fab

I have red hair....what color dress?

Light blue and white tend to look better with red hair (mine's orange, I should know), but you might be able to pull off the pink. I'd say blue or white, though. :)

I have red hair....what color dress?

Green or purple colors look great with red hair. But out of your choices I'd say probably the light blue one. :-)

I have red hair....what color dress?

go with brown or black for a dress

I have red hair....what color dress?

I would go with a purple or green dress. defnetly not warm colours like reds, pink and oranges this will make you look horrible.

I have red hair....what color dress?

i have red hair and maybe red or black

I have red hair....what color dress?

white.

Why does my hair straightener have red marks on them and how do I get rid of them?

Everytime i use it this dark red scum like stuff shows up. It must be from the thermal spray I put in my hair first but how do I get it off ? It comes off if you scratch it but it takes a while, isn't there an easier way to get rid of them?

Why does my hair straightener have red marks on them and how do I get rid of them?

its all the dirt, oil, and dead skin from your hair burnt onto the iron, just was your hair before you straighten it

First off i am a guy and with no sense of fashion what so ever. I have a company Christmas party on 01/25. I really wanna make an impression a girl that i like there. so clothing ideas and some hair style ideas would be great.

I need a hair dye that won't bring out my natural red highlights....is there one out there?

Since i am italian and irish, i have natural red highlights. but when i dye my hair, its WAY redder than it sohould be. I am just wondering if there is a ahir dye out there that won't...like, Make my hair look so red??

I need a hair dye that won't bring out my natural red highlights....is there one out there?

Either go to a salon

or choose a home hair color like natual match.

--

When hair is lightened it produces warm or red and yellow undertones. When red and yellow are mixed they produce orange. Where have you seen orange hair? Remember the scary trip to the mall or grocery store check out line? Now you know!

Referring to the 'color wheel' you know that you want to cancel out some of the red/orange undertones to prevent the dreaded orange headed affliction of the mall, but yet leave enough to keep the warm tones.

Since your natural color has a 'cool' base it will not turn as red/orange when lightened as a ' warm color' of the same level would.

This is because that as the hair lightens on a ' warm' color it adds to the reds and yellows that are already present. When lightening the same level of 'cool' hair, it adds the 'missing' reds and yellows to warm up the end resulting color. This can only be checked by doing a strand test!.

I need a hair dye that won't bring out my natural red highlights....is there one out there?

go to a salon and ask the people to mix a certain color that u would liek to have on ure hair.

I need a hair dye that won't bring out my natural red highlights....is there one out there?

i love red but if you really would like to cut down on the red then you would have to use something with some ash in it....ash cuts red....good luck

I need a hair dye that won't bring out my natural red highlights....is there one out there?

If I were you, I would go to a salon. They can put a drabber on your hair that will cut down on the red. I don't think you can buy that at a regular store.

I need help with my hair. I have red/burgandy, blonde, and black folis in my dark brown hair.?

B/c she know alllllllllllll about hair!!! Shes a little full of herslef about it. Thanks so much 10pts best answer.

God Bless and Happy Holidays!!!!

I need help with my hair. I have red/burgandy, blonde, and black folis in my dark brown hair.?

There is no color that will cover the black.

You either have to let it grow out or bleach it and then dye over it.

I need help with my hair. I have red/burgandy, blonde, and black folis in my dark brown hair.?

Hey the best answer is that you go to the skin specialist Doctor

I need help with my hair. I have red/burgandy, blonde, and black folis in my dark brown hair.?

You sound like a calico! I'm confused- do you like or don't like the black? I think you may have to start with a clarifying solution (go to Sally Beauty or Loefflers) to remove excess color before starting. Once you put red in, it's hard to get out. I know you didn't ask my opinion, but I think burgandy tends to look way too fake and not really good on anyone. Like I said, the red is hard to get out or cover up, so I would start with a clarifying solution before re-coloring your hair red.

How can i prevent the bright red hair color from running into the blonde in my hair?

i dye my hair blonde and Extermely bright red (naturaly my hair is dark brown) whenever i get my hair wet the red runs/bleeds into the blood even though the box says its permanent how can i prevent this from happening besides having my hair done by my hair dresser because its over $200 each time i go there

How can i prevent the bright red hair color from running into the blonde in my hair?

Try a purple conditioner to protect the blode and always rinse your hair with cold water. This will close the hair cuticle and lock in the color.

How can i prevent the bright red hair color from running into the blonde in my hair?

do one then the other

Can I successfully dye my hair red after it's been initially dyed medium brown?

Will the color look the way it's pictured on the box (approximately of course)? Or will there be any difference between my non-dyed roots and the rest of the hair?

Can I successfully dye my hair red after it's been initially dyed medium brown?

unfortuately with an "at home dye" you will not get the red color you are looking for... color will not lift color. that means that you cannot put dye on top of dye unless you are going darker and achieve the results you are looking for... you would have to go to a salon and have the brown stripped out and then have your red applied... unless you want hot roots, which basically means that your roots will be bright and the ends will be another color...

hope that helped..

Can I successfully dye my hair red after it's been initially dyed medium brown?

sorry, but u asked me a math question

that is 1^oo , it is one , 1 to the power of any thing is 1 wheather infinity or zero or anything.

Why do u want to color ur hair?

: )

OMG! i got these highlights put in my hair, and they are turning my hair red, but my mom wont let me

idk what 2 do cuz i want my normal hair back.

OMG! i got these highlights put in my hair, and they are turning my hair red, but my mom wont let me re-dye it

Did you do it yourself or have it done at a salon? If you got it done at a salon, just go back and they will fix it for you, usually at no charge. If you did it yourself or had a friend do it you will need to go to salon to have it fixed. Don't try another at home kit, you will just mess your hair up worse. It is red because if you tried to dye it blonde you didn't leave the dye on long enough, either way, you have red undertones in your hair and no matter what you do to it, it will probalby still end up red tinted which is why you need a professional stylist to fix it. Is your mother not letting you get it fixed to teach you a lesson:- ) ??

OMG! i got these highlights put in my hair, and they are turning my hair red, but my mom wont let me re-dye it

go back to the salon and tell them the problem and they will help you figure somthing out

OMG! i got these highlights put in my hair, and they are turning my hair red, but my mom wont let me re-dye it

If you go to sally beauty supply store and talk to the store clerk she should be able to suggest somethings that will works with the color and hair type to get it back on track! You might have to beg your mom to take you to a salon though for a fix, its the best way to get it right! Good luck!

Also if you went and had highlights done at the salon, you should go back they have to fix it at no charge if they messed up something.

OMG! i got these highlights put in my hair, and they are turning my hair red, but my mom wont let me re-dye it

Ok, well either you wait till it fades away, because red hair fades really fast.

Or, you keep washing your hair more than you usually do, because that might change the dye in your hair too.

Other than that, I have nooo idea.

Good luck!
