How do I get fire engine red hair without the dye running?

I want to dye my hair fire engine red. I know I have to bleach it first and everything. What I want to know is what brand is least likely to run? Is there some sort of product I have to put in my hair afterwards to keep it from running? Should I go to a salon or do it at home?

Go to a salon that uses L'Oreal colour, they have a line called Majirouge. It is fire-engine red, and it is for dark hair without having to bleach it. I have had this colour in my hair many times, and it is fabulous!

Bleach and Red Kool Aid. Trust me on this. You mix the Kool Aid with a tiny bit of hot water to make a paste and can leave it on for how ever long you want. When you bleach your hair leave it on until it becomes the shade of the inside of banana peel. When you wash your hair use John Frieda's radiant red shampoo and conditioner. Only wash you hair in cold water. Hot water is what causes it to run. Do it at home, it's cheaper and you are able o customize it better to your tastes (not pun intended)

after you dye it wash it with shampoo and then use the conditioner to rise out your hair a lot of people don't shampoo their hair when they wash the dye off
