I'm thinking bangs to the side, a little longer around the ears? and layered. very layered and straight

I've got long hair, its pretty red (not like bright orange, but definately red, its not dyed. people don't call me ginger. not really a ginger.), moderately thick, not a lot of volume, and a little wavy when not straightened... straightening with a flat iron works well for me.... pretty much looks naturally straight

I'm kinda tall (5'7")

what do you think?

ps... I have a pretty strong part down the middle... when I try to put my bangs to the side now (they go down almost to my chin) they just kinda go over the top of my forhead, and not across the forhead (kinda like what a combover looks like = \) can that be fixed with a good hair dresser?

In the salon, they no longer call it "training", but that's what you need to do. Use a straightening agent such as STRAIGHTEN OUT by the makers of BED HEAD when straightening. Part your hair to the desired side, maybe beginning in the middle at the crown and moving closer to the side as you get to your bangs. Stylish bobby pins are in right now, hold your bangs back at the ends, spray well. Let your bangs get use to this part, then I would go with the wedged cut, bangs being your longest length, then shortening as you go back. Then flip that back up with some layering. It may be too short for you in the beginning, but as your part learns it's new place, and your hair grows, it will be sharp. Keep the bangs and sides straightened and lift the back with some spritzer or rewind. Good luck. My 13 y.o. is a red head with lots of wave and no fuzz, thank goodness. She loves that style in the summer.
