you really can't, red is a messy color. And it is the most frequently maintained color. It looks cool but hard to keep from running

I'm guessing your talking about it running when you rinse the dye out...In that case the only thing i can think of is wrap the blond hair in something like tin foil and try and hold the blond hair out of the water as much as you can.

-- If your talking about it running when you put it on then the tin foil thing would still work plus you could use a small paintbrush to aply the hair dye
