i recently had my hair dyed a dark red/redish violet.

i originally have dark/almost black hair underneith and a sandy brown on top.

i have blue-green eyes.

if you want subtle enhancement, try purples and browns.

I agree with the others that say green, blue and gray are good colors as well.
