I know someone with red hair, I like it but it doesn't seem like he likes it very much! He kinda gets defensive about it when people poke a little fun. So just wondering if other redheaded guys feel the same way.

I have red hair, but I've never been made fun of for it. If anything, I get compliments about it (people even ask me if I dye my hair). Ultimately, I don't really care - hair is hair. I'm just glad I still have it, unlike many of my family members. It's possible that your friend gets defensive because people tease him about it.

He's probably just a little insecure about it. You tend to be more comfortable when you have things in common with people, and having a hair colour that definitely "pops" may make him feel a bit uncomfortable.

I don't think this is common in all redheads, I know quite a few that are quite proud of their flaming hair. (:

No. not all . Some take it as an identity. Some for fun , and laugh it off.Some sensitive person worries a lot. Why worry ? you can have hair color changed in a good beauty parlor.

i hate it when people tease me about it like my freind watches to much south park so when ever he's with his freind whos acualy realy mean he wispers to him and then they scream at the top of their lungs "day walker day walker" and he just wont shut up now hes got other kids doing it to... but my other freind likes it alot

ok well first off i'm a girl. but i do have red hair. i love my hair and most people do too, but when even one person makes fun of it or calls you ginger or whatever then it kind of hurts your self esteam and makes you more self concious about your hair color. When people make fun of my hair i usually just pretend like i don't care and go along with it, but really, i hate it. it's not very nice. But at the same time i'm proud of my hair color and i don't have the guts to dye it because i know it's really special! Over all I would say don't make fun of him or anyone else with red hair please. :)
