Can i dye over my red hair color?

In july i dyed my hair red, and now i want it blonde, but it wont work, i've tried it 3 times, and i've tried to dye it brown first, but it always stays the same color.

it does say on the box of bleech that i still have "Do not use over compound henna or progressive color"

Is my hair color compound henna? what do i do to dye it blonde?

Alex,

I had times like this in jr.high and I regret dyring it red even back then. The most you can do is either use blond high lights lights one of my friends or have a pro do it.

If you are tired of coloring your hair, give your hair a break from the dying which would be the healthiest choice for it,and let the color grow out to the full natural color and once you've had the natural color at least 3 yrs you can start using semi-perminet colors that are 1-2 shades lighter or darker than the natural hair color, then let that grow out for at least a month and then chose a different color in the same range of numbers in difference.

Hope that was helpful,

-Sarah

i wouldn't try any home dyes anymore unless you really want to damage your hair ... you need to seek the assistance of professional hair dresser.

The reson it won't go blonde is because you can't color light over hair you've already colored dark. But really the best thing to do is to get it done professionally. That way it comes out right. And if it doesn't then make them do it until it right! That's the best part!
