Why do some kids change hair color after puberty? (like red to brown)?

Like they had like flaming red hair when they were younger and then it turned brown. Also a lot of kids that were blond will become like dirty blonds or like brunettes.

It's a genetic thing. Certain genes are turned on later in life by a protein called "transcription factor " (TF). The TF determines which genes are read by the cell and the become active. The genes do a lot of different things, from changing hair and eye color, to making someone lactose intolerant, which is another change that often happens as people get older. TF can either turn genes on or off, acting as an "activator" or as a "repressor,"
