i dont want to dye the whole thing. just something like dyeing the under part, highlights, or low lights. i dont know what color to do though.

Try henna, will turn your hair a deep glossy red. I used to use it years ago when I dyed my hair red then henna'd over the top.

Well, if you want to get away from the red, then go for either a lighter look so it'll look strawberry blonde, or go for a darker look like brunnete. Just don't get too far away from your eyebrow color, I hate it when people do that!

Try layering your hair color, which is a bit of a fad right now. Put your lighter color on the top or a darker color underneath-either way, they'll prolly put a henna on your natural color to make it stand out a bit more.

Also, you can place blonde highlights in chunks on the top of your hair. If you don't wanna go that drastic, just have them put a glaze on your hair to seal it and make it more shiny-they can do that in a clear glaze or a glaze that makes your natural color "pop"...it'll be hot!

I know that it's your decision, but if I were you I wouldn't do something completely drastic, because there are so many brunettes and blondes but almost no redheads. It's really a beautiful, unique thing that you should embrace about yourself. Others will respect you for accepting your difference, too. I'm not sure if you want to go drastic, though. If you want to stay in the red range, I would go for auburn, which is a deep burgundy and isn't as bright and carrot-y as light red hair. Getting low lights will definitely look so much prettier on red hair. Good luck. :]

Well I think if you are considering only having some highlights and not dyeing all of your hair. I would suggest having highlights of brighter tones of red, possible strawberry blonde but you could if you wanted get that colour all over (either way would be equally nice).

This look would be very nice with curly hair, but if you want you could use a hair straightener
