Well, I havent had a chance to get my hair done and my roots were starting to show and so I coloed my hair dark brown. And it really looks good because they black shows through on it. But now I really want to do a reddish color like a burgandy color. And I was wondering what color to get if they was any to cover up the black streaks in it. I really want to do a red color. Any help would be great. and dont tell me to go to a professional bc its my best friend and I was just with her for a day stright and I dont want to talk to her she is a little annoying. B/c she know alllllllllllll about hair!!! Shes a little full of herslef about it. Thanks so much 10pts best answer.

There is no color that will cover the black.
You either have to let it grow out or bleach it and then dye over it.

You sound like a calico! I'm confused- do you like or don't like the black? I think you may have to start with a clarifying solution (go to Sally Beauty or Loefflers) to remove excess color before starting. Once you put red in, it's hard to get out. I know you didn't ask my opinion, but I think burgandy tends to look way too fake and not really good on anyone. Like I said, the red is hard to get out or cover up, so I would start with a clarifying solution before re-coloring your hair red.
